The Residence of Sir Elias Loredan 4166 W. Branff Lane Phoenix, AZ 85053 Site fees will be $17 for non-members, discounted to $12 for members paid before November 1, 2019. From November 1 through the day of the event, the fees will be $20 and $15 respectively. The site fee includes food served at the event. (If there are merchants who wish to set up a booth at this event, please contact Lyn Whitewolfe, listed below, for details.)
The day will be packed with activities, including tournaments for both heavy and light weapons. There will be both court and Middle Eastern Dance, entertainment, bardic circles, great food, arts activities, games, darts and more. But how can you learn some of the fun side of the history of the barony? Some of the greatest stories come from around the fire, where friends share their exploits, on and off the fields of battle. So in additional to the traditional bardic circle, come share their tales around the "No****, there I was" bardic circle. Be sure to bring your favorite adult beverage to toast with as Sir Elias is allowing us to bring our own beer and wine.
Due to space limitations and safety issues, we are unable to offer archery on Saturday, but there will be an Anniversary shoot on Sunday Morning, December 8, 2019 at El Oso Park, 3541 N. 75th Avenue, Phoenix 85033. For similar reasons, thrown weapons competition will also take place at another site, probably Friday evening. Further details will be announced later.
The site will open for set up at 8:30A.M. with opening court at 10:00. Food will be served at various points of the day from prior to court until early evening. Parking at this event is sometimes challenging. We will be providing a loading zone to allow you to bring in your equipment and passengers and then move your vehicle off site. A few handicapped spaces will be available. Please be polite to the neighbors and respect their access to their driveways. While we are investigating alternative parking areas, at the time of publication, street parking is the best option. If other options become available, we will make appropriate announcements. As you can see, there is so much to talk about, we need to share the details of these great activities in additional articles. Please watch the page on Facebook for more information. If you need to know something right away, please contact the autocrat, Duchess Lyn ofWhitewolfe, 602-301-6709. Food will be prepared by many different cooks under the management of Duchess Nichelle of Whitewolfe.
